Torsion Springs

Torsion Springs
Torsion springs are springs which are operate with twitst or torsion. More detailed are flexible resilient objects that store mechanical energy when in operation (twisted). When they are twisted, they exert a force in the opposite direction, proportional to the angle they turn. They are specializing in angular movements. We usually find them on attic staircases, clocks and objects that need constant torque for long angles or even multiple turns. Torsion springs are made of metal or rubber that is twisted around their axis with torque applied to their ends. A thinner form used in sensitive organs is the torsion fiber which consists of a silk, glass or quartz fiber that is squeezed around its axis. Another type of torsion spring is a metal rod or spiral-shaped wire that rotates from the spindle axis with lateral forces.
We manufacture torsion springs of any shape and size. With different constructional tips so it fits into the application it serves. Custom made on the basis of the dimensions you send us or on a spring sample.
